Healthy Air Fried Chicken Nuggets - High Protein, Low Carb
This recipe is an easy-to-follow guide to healthy, fried chicken. It’s super high in protein, has zero sugar, almost no carbs and is Keto/Diabetic friendly.
What you'll need:
- 1/2 Pound of Cut Chicken Breast.
- Paprika
- Ground Black Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- Salt
- 1 Pack of UnbelievaFlour
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 Cup Milk
- Cooking Spray
Process:
Layout your chicken breast on a baking sheet and pat dry. Season the chicken to your liking.
Prep your dredging station:
Bowl 1: Add egg and milk and whisk together.
Bowl 2: Add UnbelievaFlour and 1/4 tsp of each seasoning. Blend it together evenly.
Use tongs, a fork or use your hands, but wear gloves, to transfer one chicken nugget to the egg wash bowl, then transfer to the flour bowl. You’ll want to let the excess egg wash drip off the chicken before adding to the flour bowl. If you want extra crispy chicken, you can repeat this step again. Lastly, transfer the coated chicken nugget back to the baking sheet.
Air Fryer:
After all chicken has been coated, pre-heat your air fryer to 400 degrees. Use your cooking spray to spray the inside of the air fryer. While the air fryer is heating, spray your chicken nuggets with the cooking spray. Be sure to thoroughly coat each nugget. In order for the flour to cook, it must be wet.
Fry for 5-7 minutes, flip each nugget and fry for another 3-7 minutes depending on your preference.
