UPDATE 12/13: There were a couple of loaves that developed larger than normal air pockets just below the crust in a few of the slices. This doesn't affect the nutritional content per slice, just the looks of the slices that were affected. These pockets are similar to the small air pockets you see in sourdough.
Bread 2.0 - The next generation of UnbelievaBread.
We're still working with our commercial baking partner to get our regular bread loaves perfected. In the meantime, we tried an experiment with a small, local bakery. This experiment is top secret, but essentially we tried making a bread loaf in an entirely new way that's probably never been done before...who would be crazy enough to think that bread could be made in this way? Leave it to us, always willing to think outside of the box and try new things. That's how you bring innovation to an industry that's stale (pun intended).
That's why we're calling this bread, 2.0 - The Next Generation. By purchasing these, you are purchasing 'prototypes'. You are are our testers. Please be sure to send us your feedback. These are all artisan made and the process is very labor intensive, but we hope the improvded flavor and texture will be worth it. And if these are a success, we can work on ways to scale up production and efficiency.
These are sliced thin with each slice weighing less than 1oz. That means 2 slices will have 100 calories or less. But, as always, you will need to weigh your servings for accurate macros. The macro guidelines below are based on 55 grams/2oz of bread.
