We are testing a high protein, low-carb pretzel made from our high protein, low-carb dough recipe. The nutritional facts and macros will be the exact same as our UnbelievaBuns on a gram for gram basis. Our buns weigh about 55.5g or 2 ounces. These were cut at the same size, so the nutritional facts will be approximately 119 calories, 17g protein, 1.8g net carbs. It's important to note that this listing is for our 'prototypes' from test batches. Remember, by placing an order you are ordering our test batch of pretzels. There will be 4 UnbelievaPretzels per pack.
We made 3 batches and tested different ways to shape and roll the dough, so each bag of pretzels will be different. Some are thin, some are thick, some are weird. We want your feedback on texture, shape, size and flavor. We think the flavor is very good, just like a regular pretzel. Your preference on texture is the most important part. The thinner the dough, the more dense the pretzel will be. Conversely, the thicker the dough, the softer the pretzel.
Lastly, salt does not freeze and thaw well. This is one aspect we have to figure out. If you receive a bag that doesn't seem to have salt on the pretzels, it most likely does. It's just that the salt has disintegrated/melted. Most of it gets absorbed by the pretzel so the pretzel will seem salty enough, but if you prefer to add more, we recommend spritzing the pretzel with water, then adding coarse sea salt. (Spritzing the pretzel with water helps the salt stick.)
