We are testing a high protein, low-carb pita made from our high protein, low-carb dough recipe. The nutritional facts and macros will be the exact same as our UnbelievaBuns on a gram for gram basis. Our buns weigh about 55.5g or 2 ounces. These weigh about 65g or 2.3oz, so the nutritional facts will be approximately 140 calories, 20g protein, 2.1 net carbs. It's important to note that this listing is for our 'prototypes' from test batches. Remember, by placing an order you are ordering our test batch of pitas. There will be 3 pitas per pack and each pita is about 7" in diameter.
Our pitas are very versatile because they have a "pocket" on the inside. So, not only can you eat them using the fold over method, but you can also cut them in half, stuff them full and eat like a 'taco' or lastly, you can eat them as a wrap. If you're someone who loves a wrap, you'll love these as they actually work better than wraps because the ingredients can't be pushed out. To make as a wrap, you'll simply cut a small opening, stuff your ingredients inside. Then, take a knife and cut along the edge of the opening. You'll cut half way down each side. Your pita should have a bottom portion filled with ingredients like a pocket, while the top portion is split where you just cut. Take one side of the split top portion and wrap the food tight, then take the other side a wrap over so that it's double wrapped. If you've ever eaten a Pita Pit, it's exactly how they do theirs.
